The Buhari Group is actively involved in education and this avenue forms one of its core activities and contributions to the community. Although several institutions of the group cater to the needs of a growing urban population, the group has specifically started schools in rural areas.

All educational institutions of the group are run under the aegis of the Seethakathi Trust and are governed by a board of directors.

Over the years, the group has established several schools for boys, girls, engineering and technology colleges and institutions for rural women
